Reflections on Raindrops

Self Reflection

Posted on: May 9, 2008

Face difficulties with patience and fortitude, InsyaAllah.

Hmm.. Been thinking.. When faced with someone who vexes you so, and you can only think negatively of them, stop and think before you start cursing and discrediting them.. And you think why is life so unfair.. Think.. Whatever they do now, their children will be their retribution in later years.. Cos children tend to pick up the characteristics and attitude of their parents. Remember of the story where a couple mistreated their parents and their children decided to copy their actions.. Think of your own children.. Be who you want them to be.. Love Allah swt, all your actions lillahi ta’ala.. InsyaAllah..

And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish His purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion.
[At-Talaaq: 3]

And if you start backbiting and criticising, aren’t you allowing yourself to stooping to their level? Why be negligent and slip from the Straight Path, for all is just a test. Fill your heart with love and fear of Allah swt. “The heart of a sincere Muslim is ever eager to repent and seek forgiveness, and rejoices in obedience, guidance and pleasure of Allah.” — from The Ideal Muslimah

نَّ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا إِذَا مَسَّهُمْ طَائِفٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ تَذَكَّرُوا فَإِذَا هُمْ مُبْصِرُونَ
Surely those who guard (against evil), when a visitation from the Syaitan afflicts them, bring Allah to remembrance, then lo! they see.

As a Muslimah, i apologise for any unintentional misdeed or words. All I wish for is purity of heart. If i make any mistakes, please offer me a word of advice and i hope you’ll forgive my mistakes.

Rabbighfirli warhamni wajburni warfa’kni warzuqni wahdini wa’afini wa’kfu ‘anni.
Meaning : ‘O Lord, Forgive me, Bless me, Rectify me, Raise my status, Give me my Sustenance, Guide me, Strengthen me and Pardon me’.

We recite this everytime we pray. Do not rush yourself in prayers. Take your time and appreciate the opportunity God has given us to be in prayer. InsyaAllah..

These entries are taken and adapted from my private blog. Intended to be my compilation on my observations as a student in Islamic Studies. There is just so much that I do not know.. In Allah s.w.t, I seek Guidance.
"You are the best community singled out for people: You order what is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe in Allah." (Ali Imran: 110)
"Surely you cannot guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He pleases, and He knows best the followers of the right way. [AlQasas : 56]"
